Zerbe Submits Videos for Tenure Process - Year Two

I am so pleased to share with you all my introduction/self reflection videos for my year two tenure packet. Pierce College has a 3 year tenure process, and each year faculty are asked to produce an introduction and reflection that focus on two major components:

1. Awareness of one’s own biases, power, and positionality

2. Reflection on areas of growth and ability to plan and execute own learning

This is important work, which helps support under represented and vulnerable students. Because I believe so strongly in transparency in my work as an educator, I feel it is important that my tenure videos are available not only for my committee and the Board of Trustees at Pierce College. but also for my students; so they can see how this work directly impacts them.

I decided to continue with the short form video format, because it lends itself so well to narrative storytelling, and helps to keep my ideas clear and concise. I’m looking forward to hearing back from the Board of Trustees in March 2025.
