Unheralded Women Speaker Series: Marina Abramović

This year I will be presenting on Marina Abramović as part of Marietta College’s Unheralded Women Speaker Series. This series invites faculty from various disciplines in the college to present on a woman in their field who has made great contributions but perhaps is overlooked or under-represented. While Marina Abramović is a well known and well represented contemporary performance artist, often the scope and importance of her work is overlooked or wildly misunderstood.

My lecture will be held in the Rickey Science Center in Bartlett 166 from noon to 1pm on Wednesday 12.4. Free lunch provided for attendees! Come learn more about Marina Abramović and the incredibly important work she makes as a performance artist.
