2 Of Zerbe's Glass Works Accepted into "Vessels" at Union Street Gallery

I’m pleased to announce that two of my recent glass works, “The First Tool Was A Vessel” and “Maiden, Mother, Crone” have been selected for inclusion in the upcoming exhibition titled “Vessels” at Union Street Gallery in Chicago, IL.

This exhibition will run from January 10 2025 to February 22 2025. The opening reception is scheduled for January 25 2025. A little about the exhibition:

Maiden, Mother, Crone | 2024

Blown Glass, Faux Flowers

They hold, cradle, enfold, protect, pour out, seal in.

This Union Street Gallery exhibition is about "the vessel". This can reference the importance of a sacred place that holds that precious "thing". A functional work that speaks to the ebb and flow, the in and out movement of substance and of life. A work that can be utilitarian or hold a special place of honor. For eons, the vessel is an essential part of life and art. What is your contemporary approach to creating this historical, important, iconic item?

I am so excited to see the works in this exhibition, and I am honored that “Maiden, Mother, Crone” will be making her debut in this show. If you will be in the Chicago area, be sure to swing by and check it out!
